The Let's Respect project was launched at an event at Aston University, Birmingham. It represents the culmination of over a years' work, led by Nadine Schofield from the National Mental Health Development Unit and Deborah Sturdy from the Department of Health. The project aimed to produce a ‘toolkit' primarily for healthcare staff who care for older people with mental health needs in acute hospitals. The Let's Respect Resource Box is made up of powerful images and uses case studies to provide information and practical suggestions of how to better meet the mental health needs of older people focusing particularly on acute care settings.
