Meeting the Challenge-Driving Quality and Productivity through mental health commissioning

Share

Background: A conference for Mental Health Commissioning- an opportunity to help shape the agenda was held on 7th May 2008, which sought feedback from an audience of senior Healthcare Professionals. The feedback from this initial meeting informed the development of the National World Class Commissioning Mental Health Programme. The delegates from the original conference were invited back to this interactive seminar held on 25 March 2010
Objectives of the day included:

  • Take stock of progress towards delivering World Class Commissioning in Mental Health
  • Support the introduction and use of a range of products and tools to assist commissioners
  • Build a consensus on how commissioners can best meet the twin challenges of the Quality and Productivity agenda and mental health policy
  • Explore the challenges and opportunities of commissioning and providing high quality mental health services in the economic downturn
