The
e-learning site and other training materials produced to support the
implementation of the 2007 Mental Health Act are intended not only to
increase awareness of the new legislation but also as a tool to improve
practice. For this reason, the importance of the Guiding Principles
which underpin the legislation is emphasised throughout all material.

e-learning gives an overview of the key changes brought about by the
2007 Mental Health Act This site is designed for those who may want
an overview of the changes. We suggest for those wanting for detail
information of the changes you have in front of you the hard copy
workbook.
It is hoped that this site will enable participants to
be better equipped to understand the changes contained in the Mental
Health Act 2007 and for those participants working in support services
will help to meet the needs of those requiring the support of mental
health services, particularly when compulsory treatment is involved or
being considered.
