The Mental Health Improvement Programme, National Mental Health Development Unit invites tenders for the Drinkwise Northwest Dual Diagnosis Pilot: Mental Illness and Alcohol Project.
Background Information
The
Alcohol Improvement Programme (AIP) of the Department of Health (DH)
through its Regional Alcohol Office, Drinkwise North West, provides
support to Primary Care Trusts (PCTs) in England in the reduction in the
harm caused by alcohol. NHS North West supports a new collaborative
programme that focuses on mental health improvement, specifically around
three broad areas of work: strengthening commissioning, strengthening
user, carer and public engagement, and developing the workforce.
Drinkwise
North West and National Mental Health Development Unit wish to
commission a brief pilot project to examine the needs of people with a
dual diagnosis across the North West, to ensure that future services are
structured to meet the needs of this group.
The aim of this
project is to co-ordinate a pilot project in the North West Region and
produce a report that comprehensively describes and explores the issues
relating to people with dual diagnosis.
Full details and tender documentation is available on the Alcohol Learning Centre website
