Service User and Carer Opportunities for Involvement in National Developments in Mental Health- Closing date 31 August

If you have personal experience of mental distress, learning disability and/or dual diagnosis (drug or alcohol misuse), and have experience of the criminal justice system within a custody, court, prison or post- release setting or provide friends/family carer support to somebody who has, then this may be for you.

The National Mental Health Development Unit (NMHDU) provides national support for implementing mental health policy to improve mental health and mental health services funded by the Department of Health and NHS. NMHDU need the whole of their work to involve people who have a range of mental health experiences and the friends-and-family who support them, so the best possible results can be achieved for all concerned. The National Involvement Project (NIP) is a coalition of mental health organisations (above) working with NMHDU to involve service users and carers in all aspects of their work.
