This post, hosted by Mind, is funded by NMHDU's Mental Health Equalities Programme
You will lead on the Improving Commissioning of Mental Health
Services for Refugee Communities project. This will involve liasing with
representatives from Department of Health, mental health services
commissioners, providers and refugee groups to ensure successful
completion of the project plan. You will also work on broader policy and
campaigns related to the mental health of racialised groups.
To succeed, you'll need sound knowledge of the policy/legislative
framework applicable refugees and those seeking asylum receiving mental
health services, and the challenges faced by these groups in accessing
mental health services. You'll also need significant negotiation and
strategic development skills.
Closing date for applications is 24 May 2010
