MENTAL WELL-BEING IMPACT ASSESSMENT (MWIA)
Tender for MWIA National Capacity & Development Programme
A unique and pioneering Mental Well-being Impact Assessment (MWIA) toolkit has been developed and used successfully in a number of regions across England to help improve population mental health and well-being across a range of settings and sectors in local communities and local areas. MWIA uses a combination of methods to assess the potential for a policy, programme or project to impact on the mental well-being of a population, community, neighbourhood or target population. For more information, and to read MWIA reports and to access the MWIA tool kit go to www.hiagateway.org.uk
NMHDU are supporting the further development and roll-out of MWIA across the country. We are now inviting applications from organisations, agencies and individuals to provide national co-ordination and develop and implement a national and regional capacity building programme to further the development and implementation of MWIA, establish and embed MWIA as an innovative improvement tool as part of other impact assessment work.
