Is your patient ready for treatment? 9 November 2010. London

Date: 9th Nov 2010

How to improve motivation and engagement

West London Mental Health NHS Trust

Motivation and readiness for treatment are universally acknowledged to be of central importance to the outcome of patient care; however these concepts remain a source of confusion and frustration.

This conference will look at a number of practical clinical approaches for front line staff in all areas of mental health work, which have been derived mainly from work with clients with personality disorder and/or offending behaviour.

It will be helpful to psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, nurses, psychotherapists, art therapists, occupational therapists, probation officers, other health and criminal justice professionals, as well as trainees in all of these fields.

Venue

Hallam Conference Centre, 44 Hallam Street, London W1W 6JJ
